Amp Human Performance ambassador Janel Holcomb overcame a talent-laden field, over-the-top challenging course, and some wild weather to win the Crusher In The Tushar. The event uses a mix of dirt roads and pavement that take riders through Utah's Tushar Mountains and racks up an impressive 10,000 feet of climbing in just 69 miles.
Janel had this to say after her win, "The gravel and climbs were both exhilarating and unforgiving. The first climb of the day allowed me to scope out the competition. I was amazed at the forested, meandering climb, and the high mountain meadow bedazzled with purple wildflowers that welcomed us at the summit.
Descending off the first climb, I had heard, would offer some challenge: washboard, a few switchbacks, and ever-changing gravel conditions. But I loved it! The course was so well managed with volunteers so we knew when a big turn was coming up. And the views down to the valley below were breathtaking."
